Patricia Lau-Choa started her early childhood education career as a certified Kindermusik instructor at multiple locations such as Bangsar, Damansara Heights and Suasana Sentral. in 2004, she started the first dedicated Kindermusik studio in Malaysia at IKANO Power Centre and subsequently expanded the school to Mutiara Homes, Mutiara Damansara under the current name, Musikhaus.
Patricia studied music up to Diploma level and received many years of formal training in singing, art, ballet (Royal Academy of Dancing), tap and modern dancing under the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. She has been part of musicals, talent competitions, TV performances, and has done music composition and solo voice works for productions. She also has experience in teaching academic curricula and child hip-hop dancing in a number of Chinese primary schools. Patricia graduated with an LLB, (Barrister-at-law(UK)) and obtained a Masters in Science (1st class honours) in Information Technology from the UK.
Being a propagator of the "whole brain development" philosophy, Patricia believes that in order to develop a well balanced brain and exceptional thinking skills, it is vital to stimulate babies with musical and movement activities that use both the left and right side of the brain. She also believes in creative and experiential learning beyond sheer memorizing of academic contents. Having experienced such synergetic brain development and training methods in her early days, Patricia is now a shining example of what can be achieved from the "whole brain development" philosophy, as it has enabled her to excel in diversified areas of legal practice and IT engineering whilst at the same time establishing Musikhaus.
